Waking up the next morning had been a strange ordeal for the both of them.
Toby had woken up first, feeling something odd wrapping itself tightly around his leg.
"What the...?",He sat up slowly ignoring the light dusting of frost that had traveled up his arms in the night from being in such close proximity to Jack the whole night.
The first in his mind was the image of a snake. Maybe the confused critter had crawled into their bed at night seeking a little bit of warmth. It wasn't the first time it had happened..
Toby gingerly lifted the sheets as to not scare the potentially dangerous creature, and found...Not a

Cold...
It was so...Cold....
He didn't think was possible to be this cold without freezing to death.
Violent shivers rolled across Jack's skin as the door to his cage came unlocked and slowly creaked open.
He just barely registered the heat of Toby's hand against his shoulder before he was being lifted up and carried out of his frigid prison.
"Hold on, Jack. I'm going to take care of you.", Toby said, clutching the smaller male against his chest and heading straight for the master bedroom.
Jack's teeth clacked together uncomfortably as he felt himself being put down onto a very soft surface and covered

Shutting that stupid white door right in Jack's face was one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do.
He just couldn't bare the terrible looks of pain and dejection Jack kept shooting him through the bars of his new prison. "No, no!! Please don't close the door! Please don't leave me alone in the dark!!"
Toby gritted his teeth together and hesitantly slid the second lock into place. He could hear the sound of newly released claws scraping against the hard wood as the younger male struggled to somehow push the door open again.
He slowly made his way into the tiny living area and sat down on the gorgeous mahogany piano

Jack spent the better part of the last two hours coughing up clouds black smoke and small showerings of blood, as the two new demons tried to take care of his and Stephano's injuries.
Apparently the reason Stephano had never awoken during his scuffle with Ezra, was due to him also being incapacitated temporarily with a swift kick to the back of his neck. Ezra had effectively broken the frenchmen's neck and paralyzed him from the neck down before gagging him. And that didn't seem to be to good for a demon since they had to be able to let their energy out efficiently, or they could overload.
As soon as the rag had been removed
Both Ezra and Stephano both really did stay in the house the whole night.
Jack really wished they hadn't.
Things had quickly taken a turn for the worse as the night went on. The more Jack tried to withdraw by himself, the more Ezra seemed to want to get into his personal bubble.
It left Jack feeling extremely uncomfortable. Ezra seemed content though. Bastard.
Stephano just seemed indifferent. Double Bastard.
His patience was starting to ware thin.
"Could you back off?",He said calmly as Ezra put his creepy face just a bit to close to Jack's own.
"I could.",Ezra drawled out slowly,"But your end o
It had been three miserable weeks since Toby had gone. Three weeks of silence, both mentally and physically. Three weeks of empty frozen hallways. Of curling up close to the hearth of the fire and trying his hardest to ignore the stench of rot emanating from Toby's cold pale body. Three weeks of trying to ignore the pangs of hunger as the rations of the large kitchen diminished daily.
Jack whimpered as his stomach groaned sadly. He had found himself in the pantry again to scrounge for anything that could possibly be edible. He'd even devour the rats from the traps at this point.
He knocked over empty boxes and pushed aside ca

Jack felt a rush of excitement flood through his chest as he stepped over the threshold of the lovely little cottage. He would finally be out of the hostile airs of that ghastly old castle. He swore something was wrong with that place, it was just so...inviting it was almost disturbing.
He didn't want to think about that horrid place right now though. He just wanted to focus on the little 'vacation' he was being aloud.
He knew it would probably make Toby edgy to have him in a new place where he probably wouldn't be able to keep an eye him as well, but if he was dealt the right hand and was able to play his cards right he coul

Pay attention to me...
You worthless idiot..
Pay attention to me now!!
Toby ground his teeth together as the disgusting voice hissing inside of Jack's head rang across the connection.
Shut up!! I don't want to talk to you anymore.
He nodded in approval as he heard this. "That's good Jack. Don't let this thing get to you anymore.",He said with a small smile. Jack looked up at him with a clueless expression.
"What?"
Toby sighed and said in a voice full of disdain,"You know what I'm talking about. You can't hide things from me anymore remember."
Jack looked down at his lap and leaned against T

Jack tucked his arms around Toby's still warm body and buried his face into his shoulder. He let out a long shuddering breath before dragging himself out of the bed leaving the other's body behind for the moment.
He made a beeline for the fireplace in the far corner of the room inside of small reading space between two large empty bookcases. The only books occupying the space inside being the ones he had taken from the library.
Jack knelt in front of the large fireplace, the fire inside was burning low only a few small embers left. He pulled a couple of the small damp half logs from the tinder rack on the mantle piece and thr
